What the Study Groups Are About

Each year members of the Rocky Mountain Civil War RoundTable form a study group to learn more about a particular battle or campaign. After a few months of in-depth study, the group will take a field trip to the actual battle site area.  There is no substitute for "walking the ground."

Anyone, whether a member of the roundtable or not, can attend the meetings and/or participate in the field trip.  There is no requirement to attend all the meetings, and there are no exams.

The group's focus for 2016 has not yet been decided.  In addition, while the dates for previous field trips have been scheduled for late September or early October, this may change as well.

When the details for the next study group have been determined, the location of each month's study group meeting will be announced at the regular round table meeting on the second Thursday of the month.  Announcements in the newsletter and via email are also planned.
